Dear all,

Please find the news and updates for this week below.

1. Teacher Strand:

i. Action Research for & by Instructors

The research strand began last week with the participation of nine members in the meetings held on Monday 6 November and Tuesday 7 November. During the first session, preliminary considerations were addressed, focusing on the selection of a research approach. The content of this session was oriented toward a perspective regarding research flow from broad constructions of research to narrow procedures of research methods. Discussions covered topics such as research paradigms, philosophical assumptions, research approaches, designs, and methods, with a particular focus on understanding the nature of action research and its scope.

Participants are currently engaged in a reflective process to identify discrepancies between beliefs and practices, plans and outcomes, and existing situations and goals. Additionally, they are identifying areas for professional growth and identifying issues of interest to them. The purpose of this ongoing structured brainstorming task is to assist participants in establishing their research topics and prepare them for further exploration and inquiry. Stay tuned for more insights as we navigate this journey on our school blog.
