Here are the updates for this week:

1. Teacher Strand

i. ScOLa Orientation Program

We welcomed our new instructors to ScOLa through our orientation program and with this they’ve completed the first step of their onboarding process.  In total, 23 instructors have joined ScOLa this year both for Prep Program and Modern Languages Program. Below you can see some photos from the past two weeks and the names of our new colleagues.

ii. Eaquals Online 2023

It has been announced that registration is now open for Eaquals Online 2023, taking place on Friday, October 6th – Saturday, October 7th. The event focuses on the following three themes and will deliver plenaries, presentations and panel session discussions on these topics:

  • Best Practice in Teaching & Learning

  • The current & future role of AI in education

  • Sustainability & Climate Impact

If you would like to participate online on both days and then submit a reflection piece afterwards (written, video, infographic, etc.), please send an email to kezban.altuntas@ozyegin.edu.tr by 16:30 Tuesday, 19 September.

iii. Professional Development Sessions

We plan to continue having development sessions with the help of our volunteer instructors who will share good practices with ScOLa members. If you are interested in giving a session/series of sessions this fall semester, please send an email to  kezban.altuntas@ozyegin.edu.tr by 16:30 Monday, 25 September.

2. Student Strand

i. Student Development Sessions

We would like to keep our usual practice and provide developmental sessions  for our students thanks to our  voluntary instructors. If you are interested in giving a session for students in the fall semester, please send an email to mehtap.hepsevil@ozyegin.edu.tr  by 16:30 Monday, 25 September.Â
