1.Teacher Strand

1.1 TLDU INSET: Enhancing Student-Centredness: Instruction Giving & Task Setting

The second session of the INSET series, Enhancing Student-Centeredness, was held on Wednesday, March 12, focusing on how to give instructions and set the tasks effectively. In this session, we explored the importance of instructions in our lessons together with the key characteristics of effective task setting. Participants had the chance to work on a variety of task types to analyze the required instructions for each of them and how each task type’s instructions differ from each other. The session concluded with a follow-up action plan for the participants who would like to continue working on this area.

The third session in the series, Teacher Talk, Questioning & Student Interaction, will take place on Wednesday, March 26, from 09:30 to 10:30.
