Spring Semester – Week 10
Dear all,
We hope you are all doing well.
Here are the updates for this week:
1. Teacher Strand
This week, ScOLa Faculty Reading Club will have its second meeting. During this session, participants will have the opportunity to share their understanding of “conformity” and how it relates to their experiences in the classroom. Conformity is an important concept to consider when examining the role it plays in education. It is essential to understand the different aspects of conformity, such as compliance, obedience, and acceptance, in order to accurately assess its impact. We will explore the different ways in which conformity is seen in educational contexts and discuss the implications of this phenomenon. We will also consider how educators can use conformity to their advantage in order to create a more beneficial learning environment for their students. Through these discussions, we hope to gain a better understanding of the role of conformity in education, and to develop strategies for supporting our students in their learning.
