Oracy is the ability to use a spoken language well. More specifically, it can be described as the use of speaking and listening skills integrated with necessary language needed for effective communication. In the language classroom, oracy skills refers to two different spheres of development, learning to talk and learning through talk. This session explores how to introduce, support, and apply oracy in the ELT classroom through practical methods and examples.
