Dear all,

we hope you’ve had a relaxing spring break and are ready for the rest of the semester.

Below you can see the highlights of this new week for you:

1. Study Center How-to session III: Writing (REPEATED)

“Effective Ways to the Reader’s Heart”

This session aims at raising students’ awareness on the ways to improve their writing skills. There are tips and suggestions on how to study for content, organization, grammar and vocabulary. The session will be held in an interactive way. Students’ experiences and the challenges they face in the writing process will be asked and effective ways will be discussed together with the students.

Date&Time: 18.04.2017-Tuesday at 13.00 in ScOLa-103

2. Cambridge University Press WebinarHow does grammar fit into advanced writing instruction?” by Dr. Randi Reppen

As teachers we often face the challenge of helping our students apply what they have learned in our language courses to academic courses when they leave our programs. This is particularly true with academic writing. This webinar will focus on resources and ideas for teaching advanced writing.
